Solemnium: a bilingual website with text and audio

The Solemnium app is still in development. Its website is live now, in Bulgarian and English, and we designed, built and host it.

Solemnium: a bilingual website with text and audio

Solemnium presents rituals and incantations from ancient traditions through text and audio. The website is available in Bulgarian and English.

Design and build

We handled the website design and development. We organised the content so visitors can explore the subjects and switch between reading and listening on the same page.

Text and audio sit together on every entry, and the reader decides when the sound starts. The colours are gold on near-black, which suits the subject. Before launch we opened the site the way many people will first meet it: on a phone, from a link inside Facebook or Instagram.

How do people use the site?

Visitors can read, play audio and switch between Bulgarian and English.

The website works in a browser on a phone or computer, without installation.

Where it stands

The site is live at solemnium.com, on our hosting, and we run its updates and backups. Solemnium owns the domain, the code and everything published on the site; if they want to move to hosting of their own, one message is enough and we make the move with them.

The Solemnium app is in development. This project presents our work on its website.
